unbelievable. emotional. and naturally great.
June 25th, 2006.

lindsay and i are married and we couldn't have asked for a better day. not only was the weather great but we got a huge surprize: mona (lindsay's mom) was at the venue to greet us and join us for the whole day unbeknownst to lindsay and i. we had no idea she was coming to the ceremony because we didn't really plan far enough ahead to give a lot of long distance relatives time to make travel arrangements...or so we thought :) it was a very cool surprize.

we ran into a few minor deterrences but it made the whole day more memorable. here is a rundown of our day:
1) running a few minutes behind we show up at the ceremony location to be surprized by mona's arrival
2) we completed the ceremony and the commissioner announced us for the first time as 'mr. and mrs. wae' (she did correct herself but its still worth noting)
3) we snapped a few dozen photos and then i made the realization that "i forgot my bouquet!"
4) came back to the house to open a few cards (full of support and advice) and gifts :) ate and chatted. then half of our guests left.
5) went to confederation park for a photo session where we could all really feel the heat. also, my mom (colleen) became sicker while we were all oblivious and we had her snap a few more pictures **remembered the bouquet though**
6) went to fiore cantina for a nice supper with our moms and my sister, brittany. here, there was no mistaking how crummy my mom was feeling, meanwhile the rest of us ate a delicious meal
7) home again to relax and say good-bye to the rest of our guests!
8) suddenly remember that I forgot to give my mom back her new diamond earrings and necklace :-

i can't seem to figure out how to post a bunch of pictures on here but i will try again soon. for now these will have to do-

i'd like to read a story in the newspaper that ends with "but she was just having a bad dream," ... "really, shes okay." --a softer world.
