i have sworn off our local superstore more times than you could probably shake a stick at because of the overcrowdedness and slow moving people with jumbo sized carts who husk the corn on the cob in the middle of the small aisle then deciede not to buy the stupid thing and leave it in the bin only to get to the cashier and have to wait in line for 15 minutes because some people don't understand that the '12 items or less' sign means you SHOULD NOT go to that register when your jumbo sized cart is overfilled with about 42 items!!
but alas, i was at the superstore yet again tonight. its like sticking your tongue to something metal outdoors in the winter time, you know you shouldn't but you do it anyways.
it all started when earlier in the afternooon lindsay and i thought it would be nice to have a relaxing evening of tea and tim tams. mmm yummy.
but to make this more than a pipedream we needed supplies and i knew just the place because in this weeks flier silver kettles are on sale for $9.99 at superstore.
so i'm at the superstore register (finally) and the cashier lady asks 'what is the word for this?' while she holds up my kettle that isn't bearing a upc code (i should have known at this point things weren't going to go good). after 5 minutes of some dude pathetically claiming to attempt twice to find the one and only kettle for $9.99, i ended up paying for my other goods after putting in my 2 cents , going back to the shelf of kettles and picking up another one with a upc code and again getting back in line for another 15 minute wait. but on my way to grabbing another kettle i noticed that one of my purchases which i had already paid for and bagged was open and half eaten, and not by me. SICK! of course, it was the bloody tim tams.
after all the gobbledegook i must admit that the tea and tim tams were worth the hassle but i'm seriously going to boycott that place (along with tim hortons) until conditions improve. and even though i am used to these frustrating mishaps a person can only take so much before they need to stick it to the man.

i saw the tim tams when i was at superstore on sunday. they looked gooooooood.
